The much-awaited coronation of Mr. and Mrs. OFW 2024 took place on December 2, 2024, at the City of Passi Arena, marking the highlight of the city's celebration of OFW Week, crowning Queen Julie Bayot and King Jeremias Silva. The event brought together local officials, families, and supporters to honor the resilience and contributions of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). The coronation marked the culmination of a week full of activities aimed at empowering and celebrating OFWs. In addition to the coronation, the week featured a job fair offering opportunities for local and overseas employment, a talent showcase that highlighted the skills and creativity of OFWs and their families, and a heartwarming gift-giving event that provided essential items to OFWs and their loved ones. The event was attended by SP Member Bongbong Palencia, Committee Chairperson for the OFWs, Jovi Palmares, Executive Assistant to the Mayor, and members of the Passinhon Migrants and Families Association (PMAFA) from the 51 barangays of Passi City, led by their President, Jeanette Sayson. The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) awarded ₱200,000 as the first tranche of the ₱1 million Tulong Puso Grant to the Passinhon Migrants and Families Association (PMAFA) for their proposed livelihood project — a Water Refilling Station in Passi City. The award was presented to Mayor Stephen A. Palmares, together with SP Member Bongbong Palencia and PESO Head Rhea Palomillo, in the presence of all PMAFA Executive Officers on June 26, 2025 at City Mayor's Office.
